Dear Keith,
This "Thank you" is long overdue and we sincerely apologize. Our international guests just left, and these last weeks since Jenny's and Dave's wedding reception at Murphy's on September 9th have been filled with travel and all the duties that go with houseguests adn entertaining. We now finally have a chance to sit down and tell you how much you and your staff at Murphy's meant to us and our family.
Down to the very last detail, EVERYTHING you and your staff did for Jenny's and Dave's wedding reception was PERFECT.
From the very beginning, it was a great pleasure working with you. From our first visit way last March down to every recent communication and meeting, we were filled with confidence that everything would go well with the reception. But it went better than just "well" -- It was a truly exceptional event!
How can we begin to thank you for taking over all the last minute details? Moving into the porch area was brilliant and we were grateful you were watching the weather so carefully. Who would think September 9th could be so cold! It was very confortable under the heaters adn the amount of space and flow for the guests was just right.
We were so pleased with how perfectly set-up and beautiful everything was. You guys absolutely know how to set up a reception. We left it all in your and your staff's hands and it was better than we could even concieve! Thank you so much for going to all that extra effort on the centerpieces, cakes, favors, etc... and for making everything just right.
The Dinner: Keith, it doesn'y get any better anywhere. We've been to lots of buffet dinners, and hands-down the food at our reception was the best we've ever had. Every dish was superbly prepared and tasty. Please give our compliments to your chef and kitchen staff. We knew the food would be good, but the food was spectacular. I hope some of your people caught some of the comments from our guests, but we heard again and again about how good the food was. Everything was so amazing, right down the line. Perfectly presented and prepared. Thank you so much!
The Wait-Staff: It doesn't get any better! Your staff is as professional as it gets. All of your people were so helpful and perfectly in tune with the needs of our guests. Jennifer was absolutely awesome. We really appreciated how she was on top of every detail and made sure that everything flowed and that our guests were so well taken care of. She is an excellent communicator and she was instrumental in assuring that we all had the time of our lives. We were aware that she and you were making sure that the wedding party was served in a very special way, but what became obvious throughout the evening was that our guests (all of them) were getting special service too! many of them told us that they were really impressed with the service at Murphy's.
The Bar: It was perfect! Your bartender was so accomodating and patient. He took care of everyone in an astounding manner. It's a big job and he's a true pro. Please thank him for us and let him know how much we appreciated how hard he worked to please all our guests and how much we appreciate how he also made sure that the wedding party was really taken care of.
The Atmosphere: We heard over and over again from our guests how much they enjoyed the reception. We were told by a number of people that it was the best "American" wedding reception they had ever been to (we had as many international guests attending as we did locals!). This compliment is directly attributable to you and your staff, the excellent food, the attentive service, and the warm, inviting, and comfortable venue. Murphy's is the perfect place to hold any party when the goal is for the guests to relax and have fun! And it was an added delight that Sean played the bagpipes for us - It was a great addition to a great evening.
The Details: Wow. You and everyone at Murphy's clearly worked hard to make our reception perfect in every possible way. We are very happy with every aspect.
So...please accept the enclosed extra gratuity. I hope you won't mind spreading this small token among all the people who made our September 9th event ant Murphy's fabulous, special, and wonderfully memorable.
Also, we'll be making an effort this week to give Murphy's rave reviews on as many websites as we can!

My apologies for not responding to you more promptly -- Graham and I left directly after the wedding on August 6th for a quick honeymoon in Alaska. I'll drop a check in the mail today for your requested amount.
Many, many thanks for a wonderful event -- everything went exactly as I wanted it to: the food was wonderful (tasty & beautiful!), the drinks were delicious, and the serving staff exceeded my expectations. They took especially good care of me, checking in to make sure I had exactly what I wanted throughout the night -- it was wonderful. -

Thank you again for a truly once in a lifetime event!!!! I have already recommended the pub to several of my engaged friends. I let them know about the great value and service we received before and on our day. I look forward to swinging in from time to time to grab a beer and hope to talk to you in person again. we had a wedding with you on the above date for my reception Meal and I just wanted to thank you & your staff for everything. We had a wonderful time & all your staff were very friendly & helpful, so thank you for everything the food was lovely! We’re hoping to come back in February 2010 to see Lake Tahoe in the Snow, myself & my husband, so we will be sure to come in for a meal as we enjoyed visiting your restaurant that much. -

Mike and I wanted to thank you and your wife for a wonderful reception that you put on for us on August 15. Your staff were the best and most Professional and we appreciated everything they did for us and our guests that evening. I have only heard positive things from our friends and family and I know Mike and I had a great time. The food was excellent and we couldn't have asked for a better place to have our reception. Thank you for all of your help with making this special day happen for us, you were so nice when we asked for help with reducing the budget and we appreciate it so much.
